ACTIVE STABLE

What is an active stable?

If we want to provide the horse with an environment that exactly matches the species, we should ideally create a steppe environment to house it. It would be very complicated in our regions to recreate this type of biotope. This is where the active stable comes into play. Contrasting with individual housing in which the horse lives isolated from its peers, in individual boxes, barely moving and never eating more than 2 to 3 times a day, the active stable stimulates natural behaviors. In an active stable, horses are housed in groups, which allows them to interact with their peers. A thoughtful layout of their housing provides them with structured spaces to move around day and night.
